Vintage Hopi Native American Kachina doll signed by the late Wilfred Huma (1941- 2019) of Polacca, Arizona. The Hopi dancer is based on the Indian Ceremonial dancer "Whipper". The Kachina doll is a large 16" tall 8" wide arm to arm and 5 deep. He is adorned with leather fringe boots, yucca sticks/whips, believed to be carved from cottonwood, feathers, shells, leather accessories, yarn.
There does appear to be a small crack in the dancers left arm but it is very solid. Whipper appears to be in action dancing.Very nice cultural piece of Native American history. Please review all pictures as they are a large part of the description. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Cultures & Ethnicities\Native American: US\1935-Now\Dolls & Kachinas".
