Hopi Rattle Native American Indian Vintage Gourd Poleviyuma Shungopovi arizona

I know very little about this wonderful item. It is what I believe to be a Hopi gourd rattle. Slight remnant of a feather at top. Measures apprx 9.5" tall x apprx 5" wide. Seems to be maybe beans inside - rattles when shaken. Definite spots with missing/smudged paint. Please see and study pictures for detail/condition.
